Two types of nicotine, one goal
Most vape juice uses one of two forms of nicotine: nicotine salts or freebase nicotine. They behave differently in the device and feel very different in your throat.
Freebase nicotine
Freebase is the traditional form. It delivers a stronger throat hit at lower strengths and is best suited to lower-power devices and lower mg strengths (typically 3–12mg).
Nicotine salts
Salts are smoother at higher strengths, so they let you vape 35–50mg without a harsh hit. They absorb quickly, which is why they are popular for former heavy smokers and for use in low-powered pod systems.
Which device goes with which?
- Low-power pods: best with nicotine salts (high strength, smooth).
- Higher-power mods: better with freebase (lower strength, more vapour).
Using the wrong liquid for your device can lead to leaks and a poor experience. Check our e-liquids range and match the strength and type to your kit.
