What does a ‘puff count’ actually mean?
Disposables are usually rated by puff count — for example 3,000, 8,000 or even 12,000 puffs. A ‘puff’ is a standardised average draw, so real-world results differ from person to person. Here is how to estimate it.
Realistic expectations
As a rough guide:
- A 3,000-puff device usually lasts a light to moderate vaper about 3–5 days.
- An 8,000-puff device can last 1–2 weeks.
- A 12,000-puff device, used moderately, can last 2 weeks or more.
Heavier users will get through a device faster, and longer, harder draws drain both battery and liquid quicker.
How to make a disposable last longer
- Take shorter draws, prefer short puffs
- Don’t vape until the battery indicator flashes constantly
- Store upright and away from heat or direct sun
- Use a lower puff-count device that matches how much you actually vape
